Multiple award-winning gospel singer, Kefee Obareki Don Momoh, has been confirmed dead.
The Branama queen passed away this morning at the US hospital where she was taken to after she collapsed and went into coma. She never came out of the coma. Her international manager has confirmed her passing and Kefee's husband also confirmed to a Star FM staff, where he works.
OAP Yaw, a close friend of her husband, OAP Teddy Don Momoh also confirmed the news on Wazobia Fm this morning, saying: “One of her our very own is dead. May her soul rest in peace.”
Kefee whose music career started at age eight in her church choir, was famous for her gospel songs ‘Branama’ and ‘Kokoroko’. She won several awards including the best collaboration Headies Award in 2010.
Until her death, she resided happily with her husband in the US and managed her restaurant, Branama Kitchen, in Lagos.
