An explosion has occurred at the School of Hygiene in Kano this afternoon, with an undetermined number of fatalities and injuries at the site. The bombing is reported to be extensive.
The bombing took place near a building, reported to be near the private residence of Nigeria’s Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Dahiru Abubakar. Abubakar since assuming the high post has worked tirelessly to upgrade Nigeria’s police force.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack but a terrorist group, Boko Haram had carried out similar attacks in Kano and states in Nigeria’s northeast.
