Super Eagles Refuse To Train Over Appearance Fees Dispute
Nigeria players at the on going world cup refused to train on yesterday following a disagreement over appearance fees for reaching the second round of the World Cup.
According to Goal.com, the players asked for a meeting with the team's management where they requested that their part of the money expected from Fifa for progressing beyond the group stage be paid them by the Nigerian Football Federation.

FIFA Bans Luis Suarez
Liverpool and Uruguay striker Luis Suarez has been given a nine-match ban by Fifa and a four-month global suspension for biting Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini. As a result of the sanction, Suarez is set to miss Liverpool's first nine games of the new Premier League season, which includes fixtures against Manchester City, Tottenham and Everton.

out of prison any time soon. 30-year-old Jeremy Meeks, who was

Plane Flying From Nigeria To Gabon Reported Missing
A four-seater plane flying from Nigeria to Gabon via Cameroon has gone missing. The plane, owned by US company, Global Aviation, took off from Kano Airport around 6pm yesterday Monday June 23rd and was billed to make a stop over at Doula Cameroon before continuing to Gabon to arrive at 11pm but it never arrived at Doula, Cameroonian Aviation authorities have said. Only an American pilot was on-board.
The Gabon Aviation authorities say the last contact they had with the plane was when it was in Mongo which is a 2-hour flight from the Cameroonian economic capital. Search & Rescue operation has so far not yielded any result but the search operation still continues.

The woman who was put on death row in Sudan for marrying a Christian then freed after nine months in jail has been rearrested on Today. Meriam Ibrahim and her husband Daniel Wani were both held at an airport in the capital Khartoum as they apparently tried to flee the country according to Dailymail.

Herbalist Confesses How He Buried Ex Customs Officer And Her Daughter Alive
Emotions ran high, yesterday,
at the Lagos State Police Command, Ikeja, following the startling confession of
a 64-year‑old herbalist, on how he buried a 68-year‑old retired Customs officer
and her 10-year‑old adopted daughter alive in a shallow grave behind his shrine
in Ajuwon, Ogun State.
The
suspect identified as Alhaji Olatunji Azeez, who was paraded by the command’s
boss, Umar Manko, showed no sign of remorse as he said he committed the act in
order to prevent the victim from demanding N9 million he used to prepare
concoction for her.
Michael Schumacher's Medical Records Reportedly Stolen And Offered For Sale
Medical notes purported to be
those of retired Formula One world champion Michael Schumacher have
been stolen and are being offered for sale, according to his management.
It issued a statement
warning against the purchase and publication of the documents a week after it

Al-Jazeera Journalists Jailed For Seven Years In Egypt
Egypt's judiciary has dealt a shocking blow to the principle of free speech after three journalists for Al-Jazeera English were sentenced to between seven and 10 years in jail on charges of aiding terrorists and endangering national security.
The former BBC correspondent Peter Greste, from Australia, the ex-CNN journalist Mohamed Fahmy, and local producer Baher Mohamed were jailed for seven, seven and 10 years respectively. Four students and activists indicted in the case were sentenced to seven years.

A woman said to be 60 has just been delivered of a baby
at a Lagos hospital.
For 31 years, Mrs Omolara Irurhe globetrotted in search
of a child and she visited some of the best hospitals in the world.
In 2010, her journey ended in the most unlikely hospital
and country when she began an Invitro Fertilization (IVF) treatment at the St.
Ives Hospital in Lagos. On Monday, what began as a seed hope four years ago
culminated in the delivery of a bouncing baby girl.

Stay Away From Viewing Centres - Police
Nigeria’s police on today advised football fans to
