Man Rapes Another Man In Lagos


A 38-year old gatekeeper, Sali Malu, has been arraigned before an Abule Egba Magistrate court for raping a man at his residence. The prosecutor, Insp. Racheal Williams alleged that the accused had drugged his victim before raping him. 
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the accused, lives at 31, Peace Estate, Ipaja, a suburb of Lagos and is facing a two-count charge of sexual assault and causing a breach of peace.

“When the complainant woke up, his anus was paining him and there was some left-over semen in it. The complainant, who is also a gatekeeper in the estate they watched over, went to the room of the accused to charge his phone. The accused gave him food to eat. The man did not know that the food had been laced with drugs. After eating the food, he slept off only to wake up to the reality that he had been raped,’’ the prosecutor told the court.

Williams said the offences were committed on March 23 in the house of the accused.
“The complainant (names withheld), who is also a gatekeeper in the estate, went to the room of the accused to charge his phone.
“The accused gave him food to eat. The man did not know that the food had been laced with drug.
“After eating the food, he slept off only to wake up to the reality that he had been raped,’’ she told the court.

The offences, according to the prosecutor, contravene Section 166 (d) and 259 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
Ruling on the bail application of the accused, the Magistrate, Tajudeen Elias, granted the accused a bail of N500, 000 with two sureties in like sum.
The case has been adjourned to May 5 for mention.
