Kevin Lucciano Drags Harrysong To Court Over Contract Breach

Looks like most of our artistes would be appearing in court more often this year, as court cases between record labels and their artistes are increasing. Brymo vs Chocolate city went first, Vector vs YSG was most recent, and it seems Harrysong vs Questionmark.

Areafather.com reports that Harrysong, singer and hit song writer - behind the hit songs like 'Limpopo', 'Pullover' by KCee - breached his existing contract with Questionmark and has gone on to sign another with KCee's 5 Star Music.

Trouble for Harrysong started looming when a rep of Questionmark Entertainment - the label he was meant to be signed - sent out a statement saying: 'Question Mark Entertainment Incorporated has observed with dismay the continued dealings of certain persons and organisations with its recording artist Harrysong (Real name: Harrison Tare Okiri). Question Mark Entertainment entered into separate exclusive music recording, artist management and music publishing contracts with Harrysong in 2009.'

It ended saying: "Any and/or all music related dealings with Harrysong by any person from January 2009 till date may have violated Question Mark’s rights and Question Mark advises all record labels, event promoters, broadcast houses, advertisers, and music marketers etc. to desist forthwith from all such dealings with Harrysong. Question Mark will without further recourse, resort to all lawful means at our disposal for redress."

The label is indeed redressing the issue through every means possible. We can authoritatively tell you the label has secured a court injunction against the singer - whose contract should end with Questionmark later in the year but, has decided to sign to KCee's 5 Star Music without the former's consent even with his contract still valid.

Interestingly, before Kevin's recent resolve to go all out to stop Harrysong following his over 20 million naira debt as an act on Questionmark Entertainment, Harrysong had agreed for a joint venture deal between Kevin's Questionmark and KCee's 5 Star Music. Conversation was ongoing before Harrysong and KCee went on to sign and announce Harrysong as a signing to his label.

Harrysong now has a car, a room in KCee's home, an incredible relationship with MTN (where KCee is an ambassador) since he got paid millions of naira to join the Loud in Naija tour late last year. KCee's manager, Soso Soberekon, instigating the discord when he went on to call Kevin a 'troublemaker' in an interview.

Kevin, we have been told only wants a part of the millions and Harrysong's debt fully paid. Else, he is all out for war and unflinching about ending the singer's promising career.
