Former governor of Plateau State and pioneer chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Solomon Lar died in the early hours of today in the United States after lapsing into coma in the last 48 hours.
The Plateau state government confirmed the death of Solomon Lar, the first civilian governor of the state.
The Plateau state governor, Jonah Jang, announced his death on Wednesday in Jos.
“He died at about 3.00 a.m. American time (about 9.00 a.m. Nigerian time),” the governor told reporters on Wednesday evening.
