FG Grounds Dana Air's Operating License

Three days after the unfortunate air disaster involving an Associated Airline plane enroute Akure, the Federal Government, through the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority on Sunday night announced the suspension of Dana Air’s operations nationwide.
The suspension of Dana Air’s operations came 24 hours after the NCAA also grounded the operations of Associated Airlines, whose Embraer 120 plane crashed near a fuel depot just two minutes after takeoff at the Lagos airport, killing about 15 personalities.
Spokesperson for NCAA, Ndubuoke said on Sunday night that Dana has been suspended for precautionary measures after the airline had an air return.
“They had an air return from Port Harcourt and they have been suspended for precautionary measures.  The General Manager, Corporate Communications, Aviation Parastatals, Yakubu Dati, also confirmed the suspension saying,  the decision was to allow the agency “conduct an operational audit” on the carrier and its planes.

This is the  third time Dana Air’s operating license will be suspended.
