WOW: Beyonce £50,000 fee to attend Essex carnival

 
CARNIVAL organisers were thrilled when US superstar Beyonce agreed to attend their event - but stunned when she demanded a £50,000 fee. 

They had wanted a big name at this summer’s bash and ambitiously invited singers Britney Spears and Rod Stewart — and even the QUEEN. 

So when Beyonce, 31, was the only one to reply the Maldon Carnival Association in Essex couldn’t believe its luck. 

The star’s spokesman in New York emailed committee boss Rob Slight saying: “There is a possibility Beyonce will be available.” 

But it later emerged the singer wanted the huge fee which the carnival could not afford. Her spokesman said: “It is apparent there is some miscommunication. 

“Beyonce will require an appearance fee.”
