Video - 78 Year Old Man Wakes Up As Funeral Home Prepares To Embalm Him After Being Declared Dead

A man in Lexington, Mississippi, was found trying to kick his way out of a zipped up body bag, after being pronounced legally dead hours before by a coroner. Medical professionals believe that he might have appeared dead because his pacemaker temporarily switched off, and turned back on again by itself afterwards

78-year-old Walter “Snowball” Williams died late Wednesday night is back to life today.

Mr Snowball  who woke up in a body bag at a funeral home after being pronounced legally dead in what the coroner described a 'miracle'.
Walter Williams from Lexington, Mississippi, was zipped up in a body bag while funeral home workers prepared to embalm him, but instead they soon found him kicking to get out, according to WAPT.

WJTV traveled to Lexington to speak with Williams’ family. They believe his second chance at life is a gift from God.

“After they got through checking him, the coroner, they pronounced him dead and put him in a plastic bag, zipped him up and took him, put him in the hearse and they left,” says Eddie Hester, Williams’ nephew.

Two hours later, while some family was mourning and others were sleeping after an emotional day, they got a phone call.
“The mortician said something wasn’t right,” says Williams’ daughter, Martha A. Lewis. “His leg started moving.”

The family was told to go straight to the hospital. The man they thought was dead was back to life.

“Seemed like he had more life in him again,” says Lewis. “And then we had just stopped talking, and he told us ‘what did you all stop talking for?’ Hallelujah, thank you, Jesus!”
Instead of planning a funeral, this family is celebrating, singing Snowball’s favorite song outside the hospital.

Is there a medical explanation? When we talked to Holmes County Coroner Dexter Howard Thursday, we asked him ‘how did this happen?’ He calls it a miracle.
“So it was not my daddy’s time,” says Lewis. “I don’t know how much longer he’s going to grace us and bless us with his presence, but hallelujah, we thank Him right now!”
“It’s a miracle,” says Hester. “It’s just God. And I thank him for it.”
