HIP-HOP stars are famous for ridiculous extravagance.
P DIDDY once visited Bizarre HQ with a bloke who had the huge responsibility of combing his hair for him.But JAY-Z has taken decadence to a new level by inviting a professional cigar roller on the Legends Of The Summer world tour.
During tough times, where jobs are thin on the ground, it’s not a bad bit of work to pick up. The rapper, who will be on the road with JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE, is putting his money into a “gentlemen’s club” backstage at all of the dates.
A source in the camp said: “Jay met this cigar expert at a friend’s private party recently. He had been hired to roll cigars for guests in a smoking room.
“They were chatting for ages about the origins of tobacco and all the different types and then Jay-Z offered to have him on board for the tour dates. It goes well with the nature of the tour where there’s going to be a lot of whisky and cigars.”
Jay-Z has form for looking after other artists when he is on the road.
During the Watch The Throne gigs he arranged an unlimited supply of Ace of Spades champagne for KANYE WEST.
And it isn’t just hip-hop megastars who know how to live in style on tour.
When the ROLLING STONES go on the road they have a full-size snooker table wherever they go.
And their management once famously recreated an exact replica of KEEF RICHARDS’ bedroom to trick him into coping with long stints away from home.
Justin and Jay-Z are doing their bit to recreate a bit of a Rat Pack feel to their friendship and collaboration.
The video for hit single Suit & Tie involved serious cigar and single malt action, with everyone decked out in dickie bows and smart black suits.
