Cross River State governor, Liyel Imoke, Friday evening returned to the country after three months stay abroad for undisclosed medical reasons.
Imoke, in November last year, had gone for a medical check-up. He later proceeded on a two-month holiday amid speculations and insinuations about the state of his health.
The Former Minister of Information, John Odey, told journalist, Mr Imoke arrived Lagos from the United States this evening.
"I can confirm that the governor has returned," Mr. Odey, one of Mr. Imoke's closest political associates, said with glee. "We are all here waiting to receive him. We have been in touch with him while he was undergoing treatment. But we are more than excited to have him back."
