Remember the story of of the young man disguised as a woman who was arrested for alleging detonating the Wednesday July 23 bomb

to tweet from a journalist Ahmad Salkida, parents of the suspected bomber say their son is innocent.
His parents and relations is said to have come forward to say their son
is gay and has always dressed as a woman. And that their son was only at the
wrong place at the wrong time.

Doctor Who Treated More Than 100 Ebola Patients In Sierra Leone Dies From The Virus
Sheik Umar Khan, a leading virologist in Sierra Leone credited with treating over 100 Ebola patients, has died from the virus.
He became infected earlier this month, and was moved to a treatment ward operated by the medical charity Medecins Sans Frontieres in the northern region of the West African nation.
The 39-year-old doctor was described as a "national hero" by Health Minister Miatta Kargbo, for his work to control the outbreak that has taken the lives of more than 200 people in Sierra Leone, and more than 600 throughout West Africa.

Body Of Ebola Victim Cremated In Lagos
The body of the first victim of
Ebola Virus Disease in Nigeria, who died in Lagos on Friday, has been
cremated. According to Vanguard the eveny was witnessed by officials of the Lagos State Ministry
of Health and the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, led by its
Project Director, Professor Abdulsalam Nasidi, among others.
The decision to cremate the body of
the victim, it was further gathered, may not be unconnected with the
deadly nature of the Ebola Virus which is known to be easily transmissible from
human to human during handling of corpses of victims.

Gbenga Akinnagbe is a Nigerian/American actor, best known for his role as Chris Partlow on the HBO original series The Wire has been featured in the new season of “24” : Live Another Day. Akinnagbe plays cocky and determined field operative Erik Ritter of the CIA.
Born in Washington, D.C. to Nigerian parents and grew up in Silver Spring, Maryland, Akinnagbe was in and out of trouble as a youth. He is the second oldest of six children, with one older sister and four younger brothers. He attended Colonel Zadok A. Magruder High School in Rockville, Maryland. Akinnagbe attended Bucknell University on a wrestling scholarship, majoring in Political Science and English. He is the cousin of Rapper Wale. More pics after the cut.

A man suspected to be connected with the explosion targeted at General Buhari on Wednesday in Kaduna, is currently being held by troops. The young man was
apprehended by a military patrol team that immediately swooped-in on the
area following the explosion. The team found the suspicious character
disguised as a woman; he was clad in female garb, with a bra
affixed to his chest to exude femininity.
He was arrested while trying to make his
way into a crowd of onlookers when the patrol team arrived the scene.
Youths attempted to mob him while he was being arrested but were
restrained by troops who quickly whisked him away in an armoured
personnel carrier.
He is currently being interrogated by security agencies in a bid to ascertain his links.

The Federal Government of Nigeria
has confirmed the Ebola Virus death that claimed one Mr. Patrick Sawyer, the
Liberian man suspected to have imported the deadly Ebola virus into Lagos.
Announcing this in Abuja, the
Minister of Health, Prof. Onyebuchi Chukwu, said the patient was subjected to
thorough medical evaluation where laboratory investigations were also carried
out and his blood sample taken to the advanced laboratory at the Lagos
University Teaching Hospital, LUTH, WHO reference laboratory in Darkar Senegal
and CDC laboratory in Atlanta, USA, which confirmed the diagnosis of Ebola
Virus Disease.

Nigerian Students Kidnapped in Ukraine
9 Nigerian students in Ukraine were earlier this week, kidnapped in the Ukrainian city of Lugansk.
Ukrainian news agencies say militants abducted the Nigerian students on Monday and have been holding them as prisoners at an occupied government security building. The city is deep inside rebel-held territory, close to the Russian border.

Bomb Explosions Hits Kaduna
A bomb explosion today hit Kaduna town with reports of several people killed and some injured. The incident occurred near Kano Motel along Alkali Road leading to Murtala Square, Kaduna.
The bomb was reportedly targeting thousands of Muslims under the leadership of Sheik Dahiru Usman Bauchi, who were rounding off a Ramadan Tafsir in the square. “We have recorded a blast which is apparently a suicide blast targeting the convoy of Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi,” who escaped unhurt, Kaduna police chief Umar Shehu said.

Security Man Commits Suicide At Popular Fast Food Restaurant In Akute
A security man at a popular fast food restaurant in Alagbole, Akute committed suicide in the early hours of today, Wednesday July 23rd. The security man hanged himself inside the kitchen of the fast food joint before it opened for business today.
The middle aged security man was said to have deleted all his phone contacts which made it difficult to contact his relatives. His body was removed this afternoon around 3:10pm from the eatery and taken to the mortuary.

President Jonathan Meets With Escaped Chibok Girls And Their Parents In Presidential Villa

meeting with about 51 girls who escaped from Sambisa forest after they were
kidnapped from their school over three months ago.
