Photos : Miracle Seekers Flood Enugu Healing River

Some weeks ago news of a healing mystery river in Nachi community of Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State went viral. According to reports the river which has already been named 'Orimiri Jordan' (River Jordan) surprisingly appeared in the area almost 42 years after it allegedly disappeared.

Since then the area has become a pilgrimage ground with a host of people from far and near seeking healing.

The physically challenged, the aged, young, men and women including people with different kinds of sicknesses dip themselves naked in the 3-4feet deep stagnated water, wash the ailing parts of their bodies believing they are healed.

The people’s craze for healing was also seen as they collect sands from the stream into cellophane bags to their homes believing even the sands under the water was as effective as the stream itself. The trees in the surroundings were also not spared as people chop trees into various sizes with a claim that it cures all kinds of sicknesses.
