“It was Complicated” - Iceprince Explains Why He Initially Denied His Baby Jamal

 

In March 2012, news went viral that Iceprince had fathered a child with 20 years old Bimbo. This was denied by Iceprince. He however flaunted his baby, Toluwalase Jamal, months later.

In a new interview with Showbizplus, Iceprince explained why he initially denied his baby.

You initially denied having a baby?

It was complicated back then, I didn’t really know what was happening and I wasn’t sure of certain things. So the best I had to do then was denying it and sort out things first. Now I know he is my child and I have done everything as a father ever since.

What is the relationship like with his mother?

I speak with her often and it is usually about the baby. That is all for now.

Have you started thinking about marriage?

No, I’m fully focused on my music.

Video : Governor Oshiomhole Apologises For Statement Made To Widow

 

After the video of Governor Oshiomhole went viral yesterday, the Governor this morning apologised to Nigerians and Edo State people that he made the statement in anger.

He made the apology today when the leadership of the Federation of Muslim Women’s Association of Nigeria (FOMWAN), paid him a courtesy visit in Benin. 

Gov Oshiomhole said that he regretted the comments which had become the subject of discourse in the social media. The governor, however, noted that he made the comments in anger.

He also noted that though the challenge of modern times had bestowed on the shoulders of some women and single mothers the status of bread winners of their homes, such should not be used as an accuse to flout the laws.

Fat Joe Released From Prison

 

American rapper Fat Joe has been released from prison.

Earlier this year, Fat Joe was sentenced to four months in prison for federal tax evasion charges. In the original report, it stated that “Joe failed to pay taxes on some $3 million in income for years 2007 through 2010, an estimated tax loss to the government of $718,038.”

It seems that Joe caught a break. According to an Instagram post by producer DJ Nasty, Joe was released early today.

On August 26 of this year, Joe turned himself in to Miami’s Federal Detention Center to serve his four months. Today, according to an Instagram post by All I Do Is Win producer DJ Nasty, Joe has been released early—right in time for Thanksgiving dinner! There are no other details at this time.

Video : "Go And Die" Governor Adams Oshiomole Tells A Poor Widow

Watching the above video I just begin to wonder the type of leaders we have in this country. Governor Adams Oshiomhole while leading officials of Edo state to sanitize the city of Benin, came across a widow roadside hawker. From the video it looks like the woman was trading in a prohibited area.

The poor widow knelt before the governor, begging for her means of livelihood to be saved. She pleaded that she's widow. But her pleas fell on the governor's deaf ear. Worst of all was the comment the Governor who was a former labour leader said to this woman "you are a widow, go and die"!

I believe there are better ways to punish people for their wrong doings. If she was asked to pay a fine or something of that nature it would have been much better than this humiliation.

But, the approach and the choice of words by the governor was not the best for this situation.

Man Kills Alleged Homosexual Boss In Lagos

 

 

A 22-year-old man, Eji Emmanuel, has been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command over the murder of a 39-year-old trader, Sylvanus Okoye, who is said to be his boss. According to police, the suspect stabbed the deceased to death at his home on Ezemegbu Drive in the Okota area of Lagos.

Angola Denies It Banned Islam Or Destroyed Mosques

 

 

For some days now, Angola has been trending in most news outlets and social media with reports that the Southwest African nation had banned Islam and had begun to dismantle mosques.

 

But an official at the Angolan Embassy in Washington, D.C., who did not want to be identified while discussing the sensitive matter, said that there is no such ban, and that the reports are erroneous.

Ebonyi State University Withdraws From ASUU Strike

 

Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki, on Monday pulled out of the ongoing strike embarked on by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).

The school authorities took the decision following the failure of the ASUU National Executive Council which met in Kano at the weekend to put to an end to the strike.
A statement issued by the institution’s Registrar, Mr. Sam Egwu, said academic activities will resume in all the university campuses on Tuesday.

Ice Prince‘ Zamani held ‘Fire of Zamani‘ album concert to a success on Saturday, 23rd   November, despite a major setback hours before it kicked off. 

US rapper Wale had earlier in the day had announced that he wouldn’t be travelling to Nigeria for the show as event promoters failed to buy his tickets.

Still the show came alive with creative performances from Ice Prince, powerful delivery from Chip and Ruby and a mature guest appearance from Sunny Neji.

Guests included a host of celebrities including Dele Momodu, Don Jazzy, D’banj, Ikechukwu, Dr SID, Waje, Dammy Krane, Tunde Ednut, Rita Dominic and many more.

Nigerian Boy Arrested On Suspicion Of Strangling 60 Year-Old Italian Woman To Death

 

Police in southern Italy have arrested an 18-year-old Nigerian boy on suspicion of murdering a 60-year-old Catherine Susca outside the coastal city of Bari. Catherine was found semi-naked with a plastic bag over her head and her skull crushed in her apartment in Torre a Mare. 

According to investigations, the death of Catherine Susca was caused by the beating she received in the course of the attack, suffocation with a plastic bag dropped on her head and strangulation with a scarf.

Multiple Explosions, Gun Battle Rock Kano

Multiple explosions and sporadic gunshots rocked Gayawa village, Ungogo Local Government area of Kano state, this morning. 

An Eyewitnesses told Vanguard that, “The early morning military raid lasted for one and half hours and there are fears of heavy casualties among the suspected insurgents”. 

Vanguard learnt that Tuesday’s operation was on the heels of a raid where two soldiers and two suspected terrorists were killed in the city.

President Of Ijaw National Congress, Senator Tari Sekibo Slumps And Dies

 

The President the pan-Ijaw socio-cultural organization 'the Ijaw National Congress' (INC) and former Senator of the Federal Republic, Tari Sekibo, is dead. 

Mr Sekibo slumped today in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State and was pronounced dead at the Federal Medical Center where he was rushed to. He allegedly died of heart related ailment and was 70-years-old.

After a long battle with a kidney-related disease, popular 90s musician Olufemi Mayomi better known as Father U Turn passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2013.

A family member confirmed he had been in and out of hospital for many weeks. He had been on admission at the last hospital for 10 days before he passed on.

Video : LASTMA Official Caught Taking Bribe From Motorist

 

Corrupt public officials have refused to change for good and so we would keep exposing them..... An official of the Lagos State Transport Management Agency (LASTMA) was caught on tape demanding bribe from a motorist who is suspected to have broken the Lagos traffic law deliberately to expose corrupt law enforcement agents in the state.

The motorist, driving on Alfred Rewane Road, Ikoyi, Lagos state, was stopped at the Golden Gate Chinese Restaurant junction, recorded an amateur video and sent it to the eyewitness platform of Channels Television. 

The unidentified LASTMA official accused the motorist of beating the traffic light. As penalty, the motorist was charged the sum of N8,000 and was escorted to the Automated Teller Machine (ATM) to withdraw the cash to settle the officer.
